DROOLISHIOUS TREATS  
RECIPE

Liver, liver and MORE liver.  That's what makes us drool for these treats. Mom even makes a mini-me version of them (the tiny baggy with the red seal in picture) that she uses for something called 'obedience training'.  We're not 100% sure what that's all about, but when Mom keeps giving us little teensy bites of droolishious treats, we're willing to work extra hard for another one.

We like these treats even plain, but Mom says that she puts the seasonings in so that she doesn't have to smell what the treats would REALLY smell like without them.  Imagine beef liver drying out and you can probably figure out what she's talking about - we don't think it makes much difference and our noses are WAY more sensitive that hers!

 

Ingredients:

Beef Liver

Beef Heart

Chicken Hearts

Chicken Gizzards

Seasonings: soy sauce, HP sauce, worchestershire sauce, garlic powder, liquid smoke

Cut up organ meat into rough cubes anywhere from 1/2" to 1" in size.  Snip beef liver, chicken hearts and chicken gizzards into small pieces using a sharp pair of utility scissors.

Mix all ingredients in a glass bowl large enough to hold them, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours (or longer if you happen to forget about them like Mom does every so often).

Once the treats have soaked for a good long time - this makes them yummier because thenall those human type flavors are really in them - put them in a dehydrator and dry for 24 hours at the meat setting.
